So yes I was posting up all the scarfes and going holy carrumba they are more expensive this season!!! So I thought I would delve a bit deeper into why? As told a year ago lol (and promptly forgotten at the showing), Desigual are taking a far more environmental approach in their designs this season and its showing in their fabrics. Some of the polyester scarfes are completely made from 100% recycled polyester which is recycled, and then reused. The focus on recycling and on higher quality fabrics like organic egyptian cotton, 100% recycled polyester and semi recycled polyester has resulted in slightly higher wholesale prices, but you have to take your hat off to Desigual in recent years the focus on getting the designs produced in Europe as opposed to 3rd world countries, and now a concerted push into higher quality fabrics and more recycled fabrics leads to a healtheir happier more sustainable brand, which brings it back to the roots of what we loved about Desigual originally. Bohemian designs, soft breathable fabrics and a sense of fun in exploring and creating contemporary colourful designs while helping sustain a more healthier happier planet, Bravo Desigual!
